My latest purchase

You may or may not know that last summer I got hooked on triathlons. Here's a little video my bro made:

Just Tri

It can get pretty expensive because you have to buy stuff for 3 sports: swimming, biking, and running. The water is usually so cold that everyone wears specialty wetsuits made for triathlons. They are usually a few hundred bucks for the "novice" versions, but tonight I was able to buy one that was a rental for the past year, soooo...now I own a wetsuit! YAY! As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the store had one in my size. They were a LOT cheaper than retail. Yay for wetsuits! It kinda looks like this:
(I kinda look like this too...)

Also, here is a really amazing video. If you haven't heard about this, it's a father and son team that does triathlons and marathons together. The son is severely handicapped, and the dad is a true athlete. The video is of them doing an Ironman Traithlon together, which is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. The dad started running because his son said he wanted to be in a race. These are true champions!! (Ladies, get your tissues!)

A Tribute to Jon Schmidt

I'm at home alone tonight. Matt is coaching a hockey game, and I have so many things to do. I sat down at my desk, but had to organize it a little before I got started on homework. I did one assignment fairly quickly, so I decided to organize (for real this time). I suddenly became a little overwhelmed when I realized how many little things I need to do: stuff for the school, stuff for work, stuff for Relief Society, stuff for my own projects, homework etc. I took in a deep breath and got to work, but still feeling major overwhelmed so I decided to listen to Jon Schmidt, and ya know what? He is amazing. Thank you Jon Schmidt for making such lovely music. I feel much better now. :)

Just to make you happy

So I'm not the best blogger in the world. In fact, I'd say I'm right there with the worst. I don't really leave enough time. Well, here's a little update:
Matt and I celebrated his birthday by driving to Colorado to see an Av's game (Avalanche-Hockey) We had such a fun time! It was wonderful and as soon as I get my hands on his computer, I will add more details with pictures! (Cool, right?)
We also realized that we have been married for 1 1/2 years! Can you believe it? We didn't really celebrate, but he did buy me flowers, and surprised me with pearl earrings (to match the necklace he gave me a year ago for Christmas) :)
We are both working a lot and going to school a lot, and loving it (a lot). We are also in the super fun process of buying a home! Cool, huh? It's been fun to look around, figuring out what area we want to plant our roots, and what type of house, etc. We'll have a party when we find one! YAY!!!
Hope you all are doing well. Happy Valentines Day!!!
